General questions about rent
Which motorcycle can I rent from you?
With us, you can rent a truly characterful bike: the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Reborn. A classic motorcycle with a modern core – ideal for relaxed tours through Tuscany.
Does Motezza also rent other motorcycle brands or scooters like Vespa, Ducati, Moto Guzzi, Harley-Davidson or BMW?
No. We only offer the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Reborn. No Vespa, Ducati, no Guzzi, no Harley or BMW – just full focus on one model that stands out through style, comfort, and reliability. If you ride consciously, you don’t need a choice, you need the right bike.
What is the minimum rental period at Motezza?
The minimum rent is 5 hours - perfect for a leisurely half-day tour through the Chianti region or a jaunt for lunch in the hills.
How long can I rent the motorcycle at most?
You can rent the motorcycle for up to 28 consecutive days – ideal for road trips, vacations, or longer stays in the region.
Is there a mileage limit during the rental at Motezza?
No. You can ride as much as you want – with no mileage limit. Tuscany is waiting, and you set the pace.
Is the motorcycle suitable for beginner riders?
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Reborn is easy to handle, solid, and forgiving – perfect for relaxed riders. But you should be confident in riding and have experience in traffic.
How old do I have to be to rent a motorcycle at Motezza?
You must be at least 22 years old to rent a Royal Enfield from us.
What driver’s license do I need for the rental?
A valid motorcycle license of category A or A2 is required.
What if my driver’s license is from outside the EU?
If your driver's license not from the EU, Norway, Great Britain or Switzerland you also need a International Driving Permit (IDP). You can obtain this from the automobile club in your home country.
Can I rent the motorcycle also for a week?
Yes, absolutely! You can rent the motorcycle flexibly – for one day, multiple days, or up to 28 days. So a week fits perfectly.
Payment terms and deposit
How much is the deposit for the motorcycle?
The deposit is 800 euros.
How can I deposit the deposit?
The deposit can be paid in cash or by credit card.
When do I have to make the down payment?
The deposit of 15% of the expected total price is due at the time of booking. Your booking is only confirmed once the deposit has been paid.
How much is the down payment?
The down payment is usually 15% of the total rental price.
Is the down payment refundable?
We will refund the deposit if you cancel your booking more than 10 days before the pick-up date. Credit card fees will be retained.
When is the remaining payment due?
The remaining payment has to be made before the motorcycle is collected.
Can I pay the remaining amount in installments?
No, the entire remaining balance must be paid upon collection.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, credit card or debit card.
How is the deposit refunded?
The deposit will be refunded after the motorcycle has been returned and inspected using the same method it was paid.
Vehicle pickup and return
Do you offer delivery of the motorcycle?
For rentals of at least one week, we offer delivery within a 30-kilometer radius of our location for a fee. Please inquire about availability in advance.
How much does it cost to deliver the motorcycle?
The costs for deliveries depend on the distance and have a basic price of 55 euros each for delivery and collection plus 2 euros per kilometer of distance. This price applies per motorcycle.
Can I pick up the motorcycle at another location?
No, collection is only possible at our location in Greve in Chianti.
Is a return outside opening hours possible?
Yes, this is possible after consultation.
What happens if I return the motorcycle late?
In case of late return, the additional rental period will be charged.
Can I return the motorcycle to a different location?
No, the motorcycle must be returned to the location where it was picked up unless another arrangement has been made.
Can I use the motorcycle for a trip abroad?
Trips abroad are only permitted after prior arrangement. If confirmed, an extra fee is payable.
How is the motorcycle handed over?
The motorcycle is handed over with a full tank and in perfect condition.
Do I have to return the motorcycle with a full tank?
Yes, the motorcycle should be returned with a full tank.
What happens if I don't return the motorcycle with a full tank?
If the motorcycle is not returned with a full tank, a fuel charge will be charged.
Insurance and Liability
Which insurance is included in the rental price?
Liability insurance is included in the rental price.
Do you also offer fully comprehensive insurance?
No, we do not offer fully comprehensive or theft protection insurance.
What additional insurance do you recommend?
We recommend taking out private accident insurance.
Who is liable for damage to the motorcycle?
You are liable for all damages not covered by liability insurance.
Is there a deductible in the insurance?
Liability insurance has no deductible, but only covers third-party damage.
What do I do if I have an accident?
In the event of an accident, you must contact us immediately and call the police if necessary.
Does the liability insurance also apply abroad?
The liability insurance is only valid within the EU and in countries listed in the Green Insurance Certificate.
Can I take out additional insurance for theft?
We do not offer theft protection insurance, but you can take out this insurance through external providers.
What happens if the motorcycle is stolen?
In case of theft, you are responsible for the complete loss of the motorcycle.
How do I best protect myself against theft?
We recommend that you always park the motorcycle safely and secure it with the handlebar lock.
Equipment and safety
Is a helmet included in the rental price?
Yes, helmets for driver and passenger are included in the rental price.
Can I also rent a jacket and gloves?
Yes, you can rent jackets and gloves for an additional charge.
Are the helmets available in different sizes?
Yes, we have helmets in various sizes. From XS to XXL.
Is the motorcycle equipped with a luggage rack?
All our motorcycles have a 12 liter side case which can be locked. If you choose the single-seater version, we can fit you with a luggage rack.
Can I rent a navigation device?
Yes, you can rent a navigation device. It works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Alternatively, we can provide you with a mobile phone holder free of charge.
Can I attach my own accessories to the motorcycle?
Any modifications to the motorcycle are not permitted to avoid damage.
Are the motorcycles equipped with ABS?
Yes, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Reborn is equipped with an ABS braking system.
How is the safety of the motorcycle ensured?
Our motorcycles are regularly serviced and are in perfect condition.
Do I have to bring my own protective clothing?
You can bring your own protective clothing or rent gloves and jacket from us.
Are there special safety instructions for novice drivers?
We generally recommend that all riders familiarize themselves with the motorcycle and ensure that they know all traffic rules.
Weather and Season
What happens in bad weather?
In case of bad weather, we offer you a free rebooking, subject to availability.
Can I rent the motorcycle in winter?
No, we are closed in December, January and February.
Do you offer a refund in case of extreme weather?
In extreme weather conditions, you can rebook. Refunds will only be made in accordance with our terms and conditions.
Are there restrictions on renting in spring and fall?
No, in spring and autumn you can rent the motorcycle under the usual conditions.
Can I return the motorcycle if it rains heavily?
Yes, the motorcycle can be returned in any weather, but make sure it is safe.
Will the motorcycle be adjusted when winter arrives?
No, since we are closed in winter there are no special adjustments.

Are there guided tours that I can book with the motorcycle?
We would be happy to accompany you on a tour that has been discussed in advance. Please contact us in good time. Special tours such as coffee rides are announced on our homepage and on Instagram.
Can I subsequently change or cancel my booking?
Yes, changes or cancellations are possible under certain conditions. Please see our cancellation policy in the Terms & Conditions.
MOTEZZA Cancellation Policy (Details)
More than 10 days before the start of the rental period: You will receive a full refund of all amounts already paid.
Between 10 days and 48 hours before the start of the rental period: The down payment (usually 15 % of the total price) retains MOTEZZA as a cancellation fee. In some cases, a voucher or credit note for a future rental may be offered, but the deposit is non-refundable.
Less than 48 hours before the start of the rental period: The entire rental amount is due, i.e., it will be no refund granted.
